GCLOGAN

Rail Trail Jaunt
Monday 30th - afternoon

HAVE YOU ENTERED THE BALLOT FOR A FIRST TO FIND OPPORTUNITY?

Winners will be announced at the GCLOGAN Monday - Welcome to the Village - GCATWPD

Rail TrailLogan City Council opened a 3km Rail Trail in December 2021, linking Logan Village with the rapidly growing suburb of Yarrabilba; it was a former spur line off the Bethania to Beaudesert rail corridor currently being redeveloped.

The trail is a high quality asphalt sealed route that includes some attractive information signage and the trail itself extends through a mostly continuous green corridor of trees.

The corridor passes through a semi-rural area and has intersections with wayfinding signage to adjoining streets. The trail terminates at Blossom St on the edge of Yarrabilba. Again the trail is clearly signed. This trail is a wonderful amenity to this area with its expanding population.

A detailed experience of the rail trail from the point of view of a trail runner, can be viewed here.

Yarrabilba GeoTrail

Rail Trail Jaunt Geocaches

Currently there are eleven traditional geocaches spread along the 3 km track shown here in mauve shading.

We have added to this track, a Multicache and a Wherigo for your enjoyment.

Be sure to be present at the Event Welcome to the Village for a First to Find opportunity on the new Multi and Wherigo caches should you wish to so do.

After the above event, we'll journey to Yarrabilba for car parking.  Cyclists and e-Scooter riders can make the return trip up and back from here. Walkers will be transported to the Logan Village end to walk one way and arrive at their GeoVehicles once the trail is completed.
